I know, I know, it's been FAR too long since my last post, but the horrible truth is, I hadn't been to the cinema since I left uni and came home for the christams holidays.A terrible crime, I admit, but I have since rectified this mistake, and finally gotten around too seeing Sherlock Holmes! A great film I might add.
Some critics have slated it, and while I agree that it isn't an amazingly different or unique film, it does have a honest take on the original Sherlock Holmes character.
As a lot of you may know, Sherlock's character is moody, anti-social and an addict, making it far more true to the books portrayal of him. Though the character sounds morbid, Robert Downey Jr. makes him quite funny and easy to relate to.
The other actors and actresses are good too, they all work together really well and are believeable as the characters they play. The film is enjoyable, action packed and certain to be loved by any true Sherlock Holmes fan.
I will admit thought that I have been quite bad, not due to laziness, well...not all anyway =) Since I've been back I have been really busy, and not in the way I hoped (seeing friends and having lots of fun)
To begin with, I was busy doing the last of my christmas shopping, then it was family time, and enjoying my new pressies (LOTS OF DVDS =D) So, my excuse for after that is that I was helping my mum with work, meaning most of my day was gone and then we'd have food and watch tv, something I never really do at uni, I've been getting into Ghost Whisperer =)
I have met up with a few friends, though not as much as I would have liked, but it has taken a bit of my time of course, including a bit of sales shopping, but for trousers for uni. See I have a valid excuse, and anything else I picked up was of course an unexpected bonus =P
So back to the real point of my post, I've addressed the cinema point and now it is time to go over the DVDs that I have worked my way through. And the fact that I haven't posted in a while is going to be my enemy, because I have to search my memory and remember the films i have seen over the last 3 weeks or so and write about them.
So this may be a long post, infact I think it would be better to group all of the DVDs I have recently watched, together in one post. It'll save confusion on the masses of rating at the bottom of the post =)
